23 NORTH SHORE TIMES, DECEMBER 23, 2010 MILESTONES Big win: Lucky North Shore resident Jacqui Cameron receives her car from Farmers Albany store manager Marie de Rooy with staff and family sharing the excitement. She won a VW CrossPolo car, one of the first of its kind to land in the country. The cars were given to three New Zealanders as part of the nationwide Farmers birthday celebration. Ms Cameron entered the Farmers competition by entering her barcode number online after shopping at Farmers Albany. Winning the car didn't just make her day -- it made her whole year, she says: ''I've never won anything as exciting as this before.'' Special day: Dennis and Sheila Knnear are pictured on their wedding day in South Africa. The couple celebrated their silver wedding anniversary this week. Anniversary: Rae and Elaine, centre, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends at their Mairangi Bay home. Most of the original wedding party attended and even the original bridal veil and a bridesmaid's dress were on display. The couple married on November 11, 1950, at St Andrews Presbyterian Church in Otahuhu. The wedding celebrant was the late Rev Archie Huston. Correction Young achiever: Left, Takapuna-based Matthew Archer is winner of the 2010 Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Federation Young Achiever Award. His winning essay focused on the future of the freight and logistics industry. A Milestone item about Devonport residents and ACG Senior College students should have said Anya Appanna, Katarina Zujovic, Scarlett Olasope, Eugene Lai, Edie Offner, Robert Drage, Betty Davis and Todd Elder were award winners at the school's prizegiving.
