Photo: BEN WATSON By SARAH CODDINGTON Leo Durbin and Lena Hamblyn-Ough love nothing more than tending to the Greenhithe Kindergar- ten vegetable patch. The four-year-olds are always busy planting new seedlings, watering and weeding. So far the children have planted lettuce, strawberries, carrots and potatoes. The child-friendly gar- den will be on display in the Great Greenhithe Garden Tour on Sunday. Head teacher Marga- ret May says the garden is a wonderful learning tool for the children. Tickets are $15 pur- chased before the tour and $20 on the day. It will run from 10am to 4pm. There are 14 Green- hithe gardens featured in the tour. All have different characteristics and have been specially chosen for the event. Funds raised will go to providing resources for the children at Green- hithe Kindergarten.
