Two disguised men entered Liquor 2 Go on Barrys Point Rd around 6pm where a husband and wife were work- ing. One of the offenders was carrying a long-barrelled firearm which he pointed at the wife's chest. The second offender was armed with a screwdriver. There was a struggle and the hus- band was struck in the face with the butt of the firearm. The offenders fled with cash and cigarettes in a stolen blue Mazda Astina, four-door hatchback which they then dumped in the driveway of an Anzac St address. The vehicle had been stolen from Otahuhu earlier in the day.
